As you can see from the above, you don't get much from the default system. Therefore, today, we're looking at addons that make macros easier, particularly those that generate more space for their use. But the macro interface, as one of WoW's older ones, leaves a little to be desired. They can allow you to use modifiers to cast your abilities on your focus instead of your target, or to use all your damage increasing cooldowns at once. Perhaps you want to stop casting whenever you hit your interrupt? No problem. Macros can do things like create a keybind that fires your damage mitigation cooldowns and uses a healthstone. For certain classes and gameplay elements they're almost required, and for many others they're terribly useful.
You can of course repeat this process for other frames, like the Target, Focus and/or Party unit frames, and whatever else you might want to resize.Macros. You can make the settings permanent by logging out of the game. Once you’ve tweaked it to your liking, disable the mover-checkbox in the MoveAnything window again and close MoveAnything.
If you mess it up, click the Reset button in the MoveAnything window (right next to that Mover-checkbox you enabled).
You can also change the transparancy by using your scrollwheel while you hover your cursor over the gray overlay. If you look closely at the gray overlay, you’ll notice it has a tiny black block on the bottom and rightside, you can click & hold down those to change the scale of the playerframe. You could now move this frame around (if you want) with your mouse. More importantly, the player frame itself will have a gray overlay on it. Now you should see a little “mover” window with arrow buttons to move the thing (ignore that). Next to it you’ll see 2 empty checkboxes, enable the first one to get access to a “Mover”. When you unfold “Unit: Player” you see a list of some of its parts, the top one “Player” is the whole player frame which is one of the ones you need. Scroll down to find the relevant frame (like say “Unit: Player”) in the list. (so your questlog and actionbars and … everything… will resize).Īlternatively, the addon MoveAnything might be able to do what you need: You can change your UI Scale in the wow settings, but that will affect every single UI element. I’m not aware of any setting to change the size of -only- the unitframes.
